Mercy

Mercy is the grace to forget in spite of the truth.
“Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.”
Mercy is a grace. It also is an understanding. Until we have an understanding of mercy it is nigh impossible to either accept mercy or extend it to others.
Mercy cannot be rendered or accepted without destroying the accounts payable and the accounts receivable ledgers.
Mercy is not Just. Mercy is Mercy.
1st Corinthians 13
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing…
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
We entered into Christian Servitude and discipleship through the arches of Mercy. This came about when we realized we could never pay for our trespasses and shortfall. We fell to our knees. Acknowledged our need. And accepted the mercy only God himself could extend to us.
Now we are commissioned to not only be charitable to others…we are to extend mercy to them…Mercy that is beyond understanding.
