Ezekiel 37:1 – 10 KJV

1b …set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

2b: …and, lo, they were very dry.

3   And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.

4.   Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.

5.  Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

10.  So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

This account or parable is possibly one of the motivators of most relevance in history.

The allegory illustrates how the Lord of Heaven uses common people like the Prophet Ezekiel to accomplish the work of encouraging mankind. “Hear the Word of the Lord,” and God breathed life into the bones. Soon there was an army of God’s disciples. How Fantastic!

Are we committing ourselves to the abundant life that’s available to us by heeding the Word of the Lord? Are we encouraging others to “hear the Word of the Lord”? Do we believe the Promises of God for those who are Faithful; and that there is a rescue unit equipped and available for those that are still DRY Bones?
